General Foods production facility

General Foods is a Melbourne-based contract and private label snack food manufacturer. We work with brand owners, product developers and major retailers to produce clustered bars and bites, protein bars, protein balls and chocolate dipped products at scale.

Our facility in Keilor, Victoria runs dedicated production lines with full extrusion, forming and enrobing capability. We hold SQF Level 3 certification, the highest tier in food safety, alongside HACCP accreditation.

We manufacture across five core snack food capabilities, each with flexible formulation, sizing and coating options. All products are produced in our Keilor facility under SQF Level 3 conditions.

Clustered Bars and Bites
Nut, seed and grain clusters formed into bars or bite-sized pieces. Customisable binding agents, inclusions and coatings to suit your format.

Protein Bars
High-protein bars in filled, coated, layered and textured formats. We work to your macro targets and flavour brief across a wide range of dietary options.

Protein Balls
Dairy and vegan protein packed balls with chocolate, coconut or drizzle coatings. Available in a range of sizes and retail-ready pack formats.

Chocolate Dipped
Full enrobing, partial dipping and drizzle finishing across bars, balls and clusters. Dairy-free and no-added-sugar chocolate options available.

Sachet & Jar Filling
Contract sachet and jar filling for nut butters and other liquids, including peanut butter, almond butter, protein spreads, and functional blends across single-serve sachets, tubs, and jars.

Brief and scoping

Formulation and sampling

Our team develops recipes to your specification, covering ingredients, macros, flavour profile and dietary requirements. We produce samples for review and iterate until you're satisfied.

Production and quality control

Once the formula is locked, we move into full production. Every batch is produced under SQF Level 3 conditions with full traceability and quality checks at every stage of the line.

Packaging and dispatch

Finished product is packed to your specification, whether that's retail-ready primary packaging or bulk formats for further processing. We coordinate dispatch directly to your warehouse or 3PL.

A purpose-built facility designed for high-volume snack food production.

Our Keilor facility operates dedicated production capabilities across extrusion, forming, enrobing, chocolate coating, and sachet and jar filling for nut butters and other liquids. We produce millions of units each year for some of Australia’s best-known brands. The site runs to SQF Level 3 standard, with full traceability from raw material intake through to finished goods dispatch.
